Bottles-4-Bricks

Classroom Construction

The classroom construction project consists of two stages, the first to restore the current classrooms at Namwendwa Primary and the second to build more classrooms. We have now raised enough money for stage one and work is well under way, but the need for more classrooms is overwhelming with up to 100 students in some classes. For more information on the classroom construction project click here

In South Australia every empty bottle, can or carton can be redeemed for 10 cents. In Uganda 10 cents can buy 4 bricks.

How many bricks do you throw away?

So if you like a beer or two, drink a bit too much coke or prefer bottled water, start collecting your bottles now to help fund stage 2 of our classroom construction project.

Bottles-4-Bricks is an ongoing fundraising campaign that anyone can participate in – schools, businesses and individual house holds. Simply collect your empties, cash them in, and donate the money online at www.onevillage.org.au/bottles-4-bricks.

During the festive season Bottles-4-Bricks is having a little binge…we are holding a competition open to all, the prizes – a slab of beer, 6 bottles of wine, and a slab of soft drink.
