One Village is made up of two management committees, one in Namwendwa, Uganda and one in Adelaide, South Australia. Amongst other things the committee in Australia is concerned with managing projects, planning the strategic direction of One Village and fundraising to support projects. After receiving the funds the committee in Uganda coordinates and oversees the projects as directed by the Australian committee.

Other than her involvement with One Village (which you can read about at 'About Us'), Nikki is also studying law and spanish at Flinders University. In a perfect world Nikki would spend her days riding bicycles, climbing mountains, eating greek yogurt at the beach, and then using her travel machine to nip over to Uganda and hang with all her friends over there, and maybe work on a project too...

President - Maddy Dodd
 |
Maddy's involvement with One Village began in June 2008 where she met Nikki at the first ever Mango Tree Festival. After hearing about the projects and values of One Village Maddy could not help but to fall in love with the organisation and since then has devoted most of her spare time to it’s development. At the beginning of 2009, Maddy made her first trip to Namwendwa where she met the inspiring characters who made the One Village Ugandan committee. After leaving Namwendwa she knew that One Village would be in her life for years to come. Away from One Village she is more than half way through a Bachelor of Nursing at The University of Adelaide. She hopes to go on to study midwifery, where she can be of value to places that have limited access to health care.
